Meet Our Founder and
Chief Executive Officer
I purchase houses for cash! As a passionate Real Estate investor, I am dedicated to creating win-win situations for all parties involved. My ultimate goal is to ensure that every deal is a fulfilling and satisfying experience. If you want to learn more about who I am and why I am doing this, keep reading!
My name is Velody Foye-Byrd. I am a Real Estate Investor, and CEO of Eagle Home Partners. I’m a North Carolina native. Born into a family that instilled the principles of doing as much as possible, for as many as you can, and for as long as you can! Fortunately for me, this was the belief shared by both my paternal and maternal families. My family structures were very diverse from both sides, from farmers, educators, military servicemen and women, counselors, and many entrepreneurs.
I was always told that “Through Christ, I could do all things who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13) The sky was the limit. Get an education and pursue my dreams. I graduated high school and went off to college at North Carolina Central University, Durham, NC. Initially, I was unsure as to which career path I truly wanted to follow, but deep down I knew that I had a passion and a calling to educate, but also big dreams of one day being a lawyer. I decided to major in Education and took Criminal Justice courses as well. I graduated and went on to live a productive life and throughout my 33-year career, I have taught in the public school system of North Carolina, taught GED courses at the community college level, worked in law enforcement, worked with and as an administrator in healthcare serving the severe and persistently mentally ill and have owned several businesses, a day spa, weight loss, and a mortgage company.
A choice to dedicate countless years in every position or career path, along the way to a life in service to others. However, as in the poem by Langston Hughes, “Mother to Son,” life hasn’t been ‘no crystal stair,’ not as smooth as a crystal, meaning (there have been some tacks and splinters) as we all must endure but more importantly, I’ve been blessed, thus I live by “To whom much is given, much will be required.” (Luke 12:48), because I’ve survived and every test or trial that I went through made me stronger, and wiser.
God placed a rainbow in the sky for me each time and I am the better for them. So as life events and circumstances would bring my story full circle, I’ve also been a consumer of many of the various services I’ve provided to others. It is with a humble heart, from a sincere place within; out of compassion and empathy from which Eagle Home Partners was founded. We are a collaborative team of the most kindred-spirited individuals with parallel backgrounds. Together we have combined experience of over 102 career years of public service ranging from public school teaching, nursing, working in mental health, law enforcement, entrepreneurs, healthcare, and the military. Public Service is what we do, have done!
Eagle Home Partners donate a portion of our proceeds to provide scholarships to deserving underprivileged students, cancer research, victims of domestic violence, and veterans. We provide clothing and food throughout the year to the less fortunate. Daily we strive to engage with individuals meeting them where they are and creating wins for them with one simple mission at play. Leaving them better off than before encountering Eagle Home Partners.

Giving Back to the Community
Each year, as the holidays approach, I am reminded of the importance of community and the power of giving back. This reflection has led me to establish a meaningful year-round tradition: giving away clothes and essential items to those in need within our community.
What started as a simple gesture—clearing out my closet and donating unused items—has grown into a larger effort to make a real difference in the lives of others. For many families, a warm coat, a pair of shoes, or even a simple sweater can mean more than just physical comfort—it can represent hope and dignity during challenging times.
Every year, I partner with local organizations to identify those who could benefit most from these donations. We organize clothing drives, gather contributions from friends and neighbors, and ensure that each item finds its way to someone in need. The focus is on providing for specific needs, whether it’s winter clothing for children or warm apparel for seniors, helping to ease the burdens many face as the seasons change.
But this tradition is about more than just the act of giving. It’s about fostering a sense of community, building connections, and showing that we care for one another. By giving back in this way, I hope to inspire others to do the same—whether by donating, volunteering, or simply spreading kindness.
This yearly commitment to giving back is a celebration of our shared humanity. As I continue this tradition, I am filled with hope that our collective efforts can make a lasting impact, one small act of kindness at a time.
